The Daily Beast: Ebola's Wildlife Deathblow

Something important to consider: although the Ebola pandemic has been neatly contained in West Africa (at least as far as the spread in Africa itself is concerned), the entire continent has seen a large drop in tourism numbers which could mean dire things for the local wildlife population. In Africa, tourism dollars are directly used to fund massive conservancy projects and without these dollars, the efforts simply cannot move forward. This could mean a serious deathblow for several endangered species should tourism continue to plummet.
